Installed a relay/controller for my gas forced hot water furnace.

The experience was smooth from beginning to completion. The person answering the phone was pleasant with a willing to help attitude. Although it was a small job, they scheduled me immediately for the next day and arrived on time and completed the job in about a half hour. The technician was pleasant, knowledgeable and efficient.

We built our home in 1978 with forced hot water heat, meaning trying to install a/c after the fact would be a challenge since we didn't have ductwork. One option was the Mitsubishi Mr. Slim unit that has a condenser outside the house and some number of units inside the house. We went with two condenser units and four heads which pretty much cools our entire four bedroom/living room/kitchen home. We are very pleased with the performance of the a/c units, and dealing with Joyce was, as their name implies, a joy! They were very personable and professional. The sales person was extremely responsive with any questions we had, even after the fact. Their installation crew was great, arrived on time and did the job faster than they anticipated, but maintained quality in the installation. They patiently showed us how the system works and did a follow-up to make sure we were happy with everything. We would call them to do work for us again in a heartbeat! Now we can't wait to see how the heat pump portion of the a/c's works when the cold weather hits. Highly recommended!

I contracted with Joyce Cooling & Heating to install a new Lennox furnace in my basement. The two installers arrived promptly at 9 AM and immediately began unloading their truck to obtain the tools they would need to first remove my old Lennox furnace. After the old furnace had been dismantled, they began to take all the old pieces out to their truck to take them away. Once that was completed, they began the process of installing the new furnace. Both gentlemen were very good about answering the many questions that I had, and they were both very professional. The whole process was finished by approximately 3:30 PM (they did take a one-hour lunch break), and the new furnace looked great!

A few questions arose in my mind a week or so before the work was to begin so I simply sent an email to Mr. Joyce. And to my great surprise, he responded almost immediately. In today's world, that almost never happens and I was very impressed.

I can see why this company has received so many good reports from their customers. They know what they're doing! I plan to have this company come back yearly for a thorough boiler cleaning so that I may get many many good years out of this new unit. All in all, I was very satisfied with the entire process - from the first meeting to get an estimate to the completed installation.

I was very pleased, I thought that I might have to have the compressor replaced, but it was only the capacitor. I thought the price of the part and the service call rate was very reasonable. I had a very good experience with them. They were honest with me. The company that we used previously had told us that we needed a new furnace but the guy who came out from Joyce said that we did not need a new furnace and we only had to replace the control board since the signal from the thermostat was not reaching the furnace. We were pretty happy with them.

We had Joyce C&H install a new heating system and six months later a new hot water heater. This was in the fall of 2009 and spring 2010. Tony was honest, up front and was personally involved in the estimate and the installation. He came back and followed up after the heating system installation and corrected a minor issue.

We've also had them out for two issues with our AC unit that was not installed by Joyce and they've always been responsive and professional.

I have no issues with this company and would definitely recommend them.

Installed new oil fired boiler and associated plumbing. I cancelled a previous order with (other company) because even after eight days without a furnace they could not provide an installation date. I called Joyce Cooling and Heating after reviewing Angies List reviews. They immediately gave me an install date for the next Monday. They arrived as promised and did an excellent job of installing the boiler and greatly improving the plumbing. Poor guys had to work really hard to get the old boiler out of the basement, but they did so cheerfully. New boiler works much better than the old one. It runs for shorter and less frequent burn cycles but keeps the house temperature very steady. I am anticipating significantly less fuel usage. The boiler provided is a Weil-McClain and a big selling point is that replacement parts are readily available right here in my home town. I have since learned from my electrician, brother in-law that Weil-McClain boilers have an excellent reputation for durability and quality. I have heard very doubtful reports about the (other company) boiler I almost bought. I am very happy I changed vendors and am glad I now have a vendor upon whom I can rely for efficient service. Over-all it has been an excellent experience and Joyce Cooling and Heating did btw call a day or so after the install to make sure I had a good experience. I highly recommend them!

Emergency repair on a natural gas furnace. Came back home late to a very cold house on 10 degree day. The furnace was definitely out, and it was late (around 9PM). Called my usual guy and left a message but after an hour, did not get a callback. Looked on this list and selected these guys because they were close and had a good report. Called and actually got a person!. They were super busy but were able to get somebody there around 11:30PM. The guy that came was obviously on his 16th hour, but was extremely courtesy, professional, and very upbeat despite a terrible day(must have be downing coffee). Repair took 15 minutes and he was off to his next emergency. These guys will be getting rest of my heating business.

I used the services of Joyce Cooling and Heating Inc three weeks ago. They did maintenance of heating and cooling system at my office. They did good work. They were very reliable and came in quickly. Their price was very reasonable. Shawn from their office was the person who worked with me. He was young and smart. I also had them quote for the replacement of heater and air conditioner system for my entire house. I would probably go with them as their estimate was reasonable. I was surprised because I thought that individual contractors would be less expensive than them.

Can't tell you how pleased we are with our new system. The heat this summer certainly put the AC to the test and it got an A+.
Joyce Cooling and Heating made their knowledgeable recommendations and the system did everything they recommended.
The living room faces west and the afternoon sun is HOT, but the system keeps it at exactly what we set it at!

My house had an old boiler/radiant system as well as some electric radiators (and no air conditioning). I had Joyce install an entirely new whole-house system: A/C furnace electrical and ductwork. This wasn't a small job and I was very thorough getting 10 different bids. I chose Joyce because they had a competitive bid they gave me a variety of options/prices as far as equipment and they have a good reputation. It couldn't have been a better experience. The Joyce crew was prompt clean professional and their work is top notch. They dedicated plenty of people to the job. There were no fewer than 5 people here for about 4 days (and sometimes as many as 8) until the job was 100% complete. That was one year ago and everything has operated perfectly since. They serviced our air conditioning unit. They also replaced our heating unit in the past. Everything was excellent. Their price was better than the other companies that I had received estimates from. When they first came out and did the work, we had problems with the furnace working. This company was very responsive and came out right away. They realized something bigger had to be done so the manufactuer had to come out to fix the issue. They never charged us for any of the follow up work. They are always on time, professional, and leave the property neat and clean.

I had my furnace serviced, for a general cleaning, by another company on 11/27 and was told that I had a heat exchanger crack and that it would cost $4,000.00 to replace.

I decided to get a second opinion and called you.

Your man came on 12/2 and found nothing wrong with my furnace. Yes it is old and yes it will need to be replaced at some point. He also (Josh I think) brought in a CO meter and read the air because I was worried.

I can not believe that they lied to me like that and tried to sell me something, Your guy told me it would cost around $2,800 to replace it.

I am trying to get my money back from them because I was told by your guy that parts were not cleaned. Your price was $95.00 and theirs, on sale was $109.00.

Thanks for being an honest company.

I will be calling you for service on my furnace from now on and, and when I do find the need to get a new one, you will be the first call I make for a quote.

I never really appreciated the amount of effort and expertise it took remove out the old furnace and install the new one until I saw the myriad of wires, pipes, ducts, connections, etc. that was the end result. Dear Tony,

I want to commend two of your servicemen, Jay and Ryan. Today they came to our house to service the furnace and clean the heating ducts. They were very professional, friendly, and thorough. They were very conscientious about keeping areas clean as they worked, and they cleaned up after they were finished, which was a big job considering the amount of dust and debris they removed (they even found an old $50 bill in one of the ducts!)

Our home is almost 100 years old. We don’t know how old the ventilation system is, as it is a retrofit from and original parlor stove and later radiator system. This was the first duct cleaning since we’ve owned the house (about 9 years), and it is very likely the first cleaning ever. We were all surprised at the volume of dirt that had accumulated. Jay was very polite about it, but we suspect that our ducts were perhaps among the worst he has ever seen! As our son has dust allergies, we were concerned about even having the ducts cleaned (not knowing how it could turn out), but immediately upon receiving your company’s flyer in the mail we called to schedule the work. Your company had installed our furnace in 2006 and we had great confidence in the quality of your products and personnel. Again, we were very happy with the work, and we believe that our son’s respiratory issues will be greatly alleviated (you can’t put a price on that!)

I just wanted to thank Ryan and Jay again for providing such high quality work. We will recommend Joyce to anyone in need of HVAC services, and if you wish to use us as a reference, we would be happy to share our experience. Your team is top notch!

First of all, I want to say what a great job that Abe and Ryan did installing our new furnace and air conditioning system. I really struggled with picking a provider for fear I would have to worry about the details of the installation. I was thoroughly impressed with the job that was performed. I thought that everything was going to be OK when they showed up on time, but knew for sure that everything would go well when the first thing the guys did was put down a drop cloth cover the floor and rug. The installation went smoothly and everything was left cleaner then when they got here. My wife tells me that they insisted that it was a company policy to sweep up. What a great policy!

I would like a follow up call so I can take advantage of the Lennox rebates and to get pricing for the service contracts.

During the humid weather two weeks ago Debra and I needed the AC at Chandler St. I took a chance that all I had to do was turn the controls to "cool" mode and program in the desired temperature. The AC came on and I am happy to say more than adequate to cool this building. Your service technician left me a voice mail on my cell phone last week looking to schedule a time to test AC units. We will not need him to come unless there is anything additional that should be checked to ensure the units are safe and under warranty. I am enclosing a check as payment in full.
